WOW...It has been such a long time since we were asked to do our online learning log! I actually forgotten my password and had to do a whole lot of settings to enter. A few weeks of literature has passed and our previous few lessons were indeed mind blowing. We were required to do our Macbeth, Act 1 Scene 1, 3 witches performance.
Other than having lots of fun, I had learnt a lot! Especially from Sanjna, Jia Le and Jia Yi’s group. Instead of using brooms which almost all the other groups did, they used umbrellas, sacrificed by our dear Jia Le which made the whole act much more interesting. They even related it to witch 1’s line, “thunder, lightning or in rain”. It was the most different act which made it the most memorable.
For my group, Jing Yan, Shaun and I, used the idea of “modern” witch for our act. Instead of wearing long coats, we wore stockings and tights. We also had dots on our hats to show the audience who the different witches are, 1,2 or 3. It also acts like a spell formed by black magic. Wearing wigs are indeed troublesome and unstable. So I came up with the idea of pasting the cotton twine to the hats to make the hat stay on our heads and also to act like a wig. Make up, costumes and backdrop were done by me, sound by Shaun and props by Jing Yan.
I have learnt from this small group work to be kind and forgiving. We should always learn to control our temper too as fights and quarrels will occur quite often when doing these. I want to thank all my friends for their encouragements and encouraging acts especially Rachel, Rebecca and Tarif. Biggest thanks to Mrs Woo. I love you Mrs Woo and I really enjoy your lessons!
